Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Technician to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL, 60612. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing our automated systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on automation machinery.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Document all maintenance activities and system changes for compliance and quality assurance.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on automation processes.
- Identify and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Automation Technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of PLC programming and control systems.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
