Marketing Director (New York)

Wish You Were Here Group is a multi-brand hospitality group focused on building culturally relevant restaurants, bars, lounges, and hospitality experiences that people genuinely want to be part of.

Our brands sit at the intersection of hospitality, design, culture, food, nightlife, music, travel, and community. We are looking for a highly creative, strategic, and commercially minded Director of Marketing to lead marketing initiatives across our growing portfolio.

This is a leadership role for someone who understands modern hospitality branding, guest psychology, experiential marketing, digital storytelling, partnerships, and revenue-driving campaigns — while also being able to build and manage high-performing teams. cultivating community, and generating genuine demand.

What You'll Do:

You will lead the marketing strategy and execution across our portfolio, including:

• Brand strategy & positioning

• Creative direction & content

• Social media

• PR & communications

• VIP, influencer & community strategy

• Brand partnerships & activations

• CRM, email & guest retention

• Digital & performance marketing

• New restaurant openings & market launches

• Marketing budgets, agencies & team development

What You Bring

• Minimum 7+ years of marketing experience, ideally within hospitality, luxury, lifestyle, fashion, entertainment, or another culturally relevant consumer industry.

• Based in New York or Los Angeles preferred

• Willing to travel to markets as needed

• Willing to work in office as required

The right person will have exceptional taste and creative judgment, but will be equally comfortable thinking about guest acquisition, CRM, analytics, budgets, and business performance.

They should be deeply curious about what is happening not only in restaurants, but across music, fashion, hotels, design, art, entertainment, travel, technology and culture.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We want someone who can set the strategy, build the team and infrastructure, and still care deeply about the details of how the work actually shows up in the world.

As WYWHG continues to grow, this person will have the opportunity to help shape our existing brands, launch new concepts and markets, and build the marketing organization for the next chapter of the company.
