The full salary range for this position is $92,871.38 to $ $129,993.10/year. Learn more about the benefits of working at UC Brief Summary Of Job Duties The Academic and Staff Assistance Program (ASAP) and its psychologists and other mental health providers provide the UCSB campus community with mental health and support services for faculty, staff and adult family members who are covered by UC insurance in the form of brief counseling and referral assistance, as well as psychological well-being and workplace wellness programming. They also provide counseling that is delivered in a short-term model with referrals to campus and community resources being an important component of therapeutic interventions and develop and deliver wellness programming in conjunction with supervisor. Licensed psychologists provide direct supervision to a part-time practicum trainee. Qualifications Required Qualifications PhD/PsyD/LMFT/LCSW/LPCC in clinical or counseling psychology or social work Must have a California PhD, PsyD, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC license at all times during employment in order to practice and function in this clinical role. 4-6 years Experience in conducting evidence-based assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term counseling with adults 4-6 years Experience developing and delivering psychoeducational workshops 4-6 years Experience providing clinical services to diverse populations Preferred Qualifications 4-6 years Experience providing therapy and workshops in Spanish 4-6 years Experience working in higher education setting 4-6 years Experience in Employee Assistance Programs or related agencies Special Conditions Of Employment Maintains confidentiality and upholds the highest ethical and legal standards in all relevant aspects of ASAP work and related program activities. In the event of an emergency, the employee in this position may be required to report to duty in support of the campus' emergency operations plan and/or the department's emergency response and/or recovery plans. During or immediately following a designated emergency, the employee will be notified to assist in the emergency response efforts, and mobilize other staff members if needed. Assesses the nature of personal and work-related problems affecting job performance, productivity, overall satisfaction, and well-being. Provides comprehensive case management services. Manages complex and high risk cases with presenting concerns including suicidal behavior/ideation, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, sexual orientation, anger management, conflict resolution, stress management, marital concerns, domestic violence, bullying, traumatic events, work/life, wellness and prevention. Serves as a consultant and coordinates with other service providers on campus and in the community by establishing professional work relationships with campus personnel and community professionals including, but not limited to, supervisors, HR representatives, managers, faculty members and administrations, police, physicians, and other mental health professionals. Provides clients with referrals to other campus and community resources; establishes relationships with professionals, physicians, and organizations providing mental health and substance abuse treatment, health and wellness programs, and pain and stress management to facilitate effective referrals. Performs crisis intervention with individuals and departments. Conducts needs assessment and provides custom presentations and training to managers, supervisors, the faculty, administration, and the staff. Develops and presents informational programs, materials, and workshops for faculty, staff, managers, and supervisors, covering a wide range of topics related to mental health and wellness, substance abuse, stress management, eldercare, violence prevention, managing change, work group communication, and occupational stressors unique to the university setting. 40% Programming and Case Management - Participates in regular ASAP case management and staff meetings. Develops a framework for new psychoeducational programming and leverage existing psychoeducational programming to achieve ASAP objectives of expanding outreach and education. Assesses program needs, and develops programs and proposals to address university concerns in collaboration with the ASAP Manager. Maintains confidential client records that are consistent with organizational policies, procedures, and in accordance with applicable ethical and legal requirements. Serves on campus committees as assigned by ASAP Manager. Acts as liaison, evaluates resources, maintains and updates listings of agency services and professional referrals with director and the staff. Participates in ongoing professional development & training opportunities. PhD or PsyD Behavioral Counselors provide primary supervision of a practicum trainee including hiring, onboarding, conducting individual and group supervision, providing clinical training seminars, reviewing videos, reviewing documentation, providing evaluations, and performance management. LMFT, LCSW, and LPCC Behavioral Counselors provide clinical training seminars to practicum students. All Behavioral Counselors perform other duties as assigned.
