Position Overview
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, House Supervisor or Emergency Department Physician, provides care to the Emergency Department patient and obtains/transmits demographic data to other hospital departments.
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current EMT or Paramedic Certification from CA EMSA
- Current BLS Certification
Preferred
- Previous experience as an EMT, Nursing Assistant, Nursing Student or Emergency Department/Admitting Clerk
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology/abbreviations
- Current ACLS Certification
- Current PALS Certification
