About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collection Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, communicating with customers regarding past-due balances, and supporting the overall collections process. The ideal candidate is professional, persistent, and committed to achieving results while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

•       Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to collect on past-due accounts.

•       Review and analyze account information to determine the appropriate collection strategy.

•       Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up to ensure commitments are met.

•       Accurately document all collection activity and account updates in the system.

•       Identify and escalate delinquent accounts that require further action or legal review.

•       Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies.

•       Meet or exceed established collection goals and performance metrics.

•       Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state collection laws, including the FDCPA.

•       Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports as required.

•       Handle incoming customer inquiries and provide professional, courteous service.

Qualifications

•       High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

•       1+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field.

•       Strong verbal and written communication skills.

•       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collections/CRM software.

•       Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging customer interactions.

•       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

•       Knowledge of FDCPA and state collection regulations is a plus.

•       Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.
