Job Description
Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) - Orthopedic Surgery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, consisting of either 5 eight-hour shifts (09:00 - 17:30) or 4 ten-hour shifts (6:30 - 16:30) with optional flexibility.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RNFA with strong orthopedic and robotic surgery experience. The RNFA will perform both first assist and circulator responsibilities, with call coverage required for first assist duties. Experience in C-section procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing first assist support during surgical procedures.
• Circulating in the operating room as needed.
• Ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Coordinating with the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a focus on orthopedic surgery.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and CRNFA.
• Robotic surgery experience is essential.
• C-section experience is preferred.
• Valid state nursing license to be obtained prior to commencement.
• References: 2 professional references required at the time of submission.
