Role Description This is an on-site Notary Public role based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. The Notary Public will verify identities, witness signatures, administer oaths or affirmations, and complete notarizations for a variety of legal, financial, and personal documents in compliance with state regulations. The role includes accurately recording notarizations, maintaining secure and organized records, and explaining notarization procedures in clear, accessible language to clients. The Notary Public will collaborate with the Notary Wisely coordinator network, follow platform guidelines for scheduling and client management, and provide professional, timely service to individuals and organizations. The role may also involve handling loan signings, assisting with document preparation and review, and coordinating with other service providers as needed. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law and familiarity with applicable state notarial statutes and regulations. Experience with Notary practices, including commissioning, journal-keeping, and notarization of various document types. Skills in Legal Document Preparation and Research to ensure documents are complete, accurate, and compliant. Knowledge or experience in Family Law-related documents (e.g., powers of attorney, guardianship forms, divorce-related filings) is beneficial. Current or eligible Notary Public commission in the State of Michigan. High attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working directly with diverse clients on-site. Ability to manage appointments, prioritize tasks, and maintain organized records in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation within the Detroit Metropolitan Area; willingness to travel locally as needed.
