Join us. We are seeking a Detwist-Bump Shape Straightener to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks in the Finishing Department. You will be responsible for ensuring that materials are straight enough to run through the remaining processes and ensuring that the materials are within customer specifications. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an attention to detail and a willingness to learn. This position offers opportunity for growth through cross training and job rotations. Associate will perform the summarized jobs listed below.Additional ResponsibilitiesRun multiple machines including a 2 Plane, Detwister, and Straightener to straighten and remove skew from barsUse measuring devices like micrometers, calipers and measuring tapesSetting up machines by changing rollsRead and interpret shop orders and other instructionsLoad, unload, and adjust temperature on the furnaceMaintain logs and recordsVisually inspect finished product and stage itOperate heavy machinery like a crane, forklift, IME, and Combi liftFollow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulationsJob RequirementsPreferred QualificationsOne (1) year of manufacturing experienceSkillsBasic computer skillsBasic math skillsAbility to use a variety of measuring devicesWe thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
