The role involves evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth patient transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC). Doctorate degree in physical therapy (preferred). Experience in physical therapy; new graduates welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Essential Skills & Physical Abilities Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, including ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Basic PC skills. Physical ability to remain stationary, move around, lift and move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel, maintain a positive attitude, and demonstrate professionalism. Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and handling of department equipment. Mental resilience to manage frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and handle irregular activity schedules. Good visual acuity and effective communication skills.
