The Room Attendant – Cedar River Lodge is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms while supporting the overall guest experience at Shanty Creek Resorts.

Room Attendants prepare guest rooms for arrival, service occupied rooms, replenish amenities, and ensure established cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met. This position requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, reliability, and a commitment to providing excellent guest service.

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms and bathrooms according to established resort standards.

• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest room amenities.

• Vacuum, dust, mop, and clean surfaces throughout assigned guest rooms.

• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, presentation, and overall readiness for guests.

• Remove trash and used linens from guest rooms.

• Restock housekeeping carts and maintain necessary cleaning supplies throughout the shift.

• Respond to guest requests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.

• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.

• Report lost-and-found items according to established procedures.

• Follow proper procedures for the safe use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of housekeeping work areas.

• Work collaboratively with Housekeeping and other resort departments to support guest needs.

• Follow all resort safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.

• Complete additional housekeeping responsibilities as assigned.

• Ability to provide friendly and professional guest service.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to manage assigned rooms efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

• Ability to perform the physical responsibilities associated with housekeeping and guest room cleaning.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

• Previous housekeeping, hotel, resort, or professional cleaning experience.

• Familiarity with commercial cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment.

• Experience working in a hospitality or guest-service environment.
