About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina Start Date: November 9, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 13-26 week assignments available. Patient ratio approximately 1:6 (varies by acuity). Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week period (flexible scheduling). Float required at unit discretion. Highlights: - Comprehensive cardiac telemetry unit with diverse case mix including post-cardiac surgery, post-catheterization, electrophysiology procedures, and complex cardiac patients- Manage patients with diagnoses including CHF, ACS, CAD, atrial fibrillation, valve disorders, cardiomyopathy, and vascular conditions- Work with advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO (Watchman), pacemaker placements, and vascular surgeries- Epic charting system with 24-hour orientation period and comprehensive interdisciplinary support team- Utilize specialized equipment including femoral sheaths, chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, arterial lines, and TR bands- 44-bed unit with daily census of approximately 41 patients and full respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response support Requirements: - Active North Carolina RN license or Multistate Compact license- Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry floor experience required- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date- Travel nursing experience required unless candidate has 24+ months of cardiac experience- Competency in cardiac telemetry monitoring, sheath removal, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, post-MI care, pre/post cardiac catheterization care- Experience managing cardiac drips (with and without titration), chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, and non-invasive airway management- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)- Ability and willingness to serve on Storm/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or disasters as needed- Availability for manager interview required prior to offer Preferred Qualifications: - Arterial line management experience- Wound care and wound VAC experience- Charge nurse experience- Epic charting system experience Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a highly specialized cardiac patient population in a well-supported telemetry unit.
