Position Summary:
The mission of the Office of Performance Management is to create sustainable data-driven operations in programmatic and central divisions to increase effectiveness and achieve mission-driven outcomes for children. Performance Analysts accomplish this by strengthening the behaviors and capabilities of leadership at all levels to be data driven. Performance Analysts fulfill a broad range of responsibilities over their independent areas of focus, which are guided by a shared departmental vision and coordinated in a team. Programming areas include early childhood education, after school, K-12 public schools, youth development, health, mental health, child welfare, and others.
Essential Duties:
- Work collaboratively with programs and central departments to implement all phases of continuous quality improvement, including developing logic models, conducting root cause analysis, identifying key indicators, planning data collection, analyzing operational and outcomes data, and monitoring ongoing performance.
- Develop and maintain data collection, management, and analysis protocols to ensure data quality, consistency, and usability across programs.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analyses, test hypotheses, and produce clear, actionable reports and visualizations to inform decision-making and improve program outcomes.
- Identify and track program outcomes, monitor implementation and fidelity to program models, and produce results reports to meet internal, regulatory, and funder requirements.
- Support program model development and refinement, including defining performance metrics aligned with operational goals and funding expectations.
- Provide training, technical assistance, and capacity-building support to staff at all levels to strengthen data literacy, performance management, and continuous improvement practices.
- Participate in division leadership and staff meetings to build capacity and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and accountability.
- Advise leadership on strategies to advance a data-driven culture and improve organizational performance.
- Develop a strong understanding of programs to anticipate needs and proactively provide data-informed solutions.
- Collaborate with performance management team members to support departmental priorities and promote shared learning throughout Children's Aid.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience evaluating and improving program or operational performance in a social service non-profit or government setting.
- Bachelor's in education, social work, psychology, public health, or other field related to the work of the organization; (master's degree preferred)
Key Competencies:
- Proficiency in MS Office with exceptional Excel/Power BI skills required; proficiency in R/Python preferred.
- Excellent analytic skills required. Ability to meet deadlines and creatively solve problems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfort performing hands-on work as well as serving as project manager on projects and activities.
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships and communicate effectively about data with multiple stakeholders in writing and verbally.
- Perform other duties as needed.

The position's requirements are subject to periodic review and adjustment based on organizational needs and changes in work dynamics.
