Key Responsibilities of the X-Ray Technician:
Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders
Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure radiation safety standards are followed for patients and staff
Review images for quality and accuracy before submission to radiologists
Maintain detailed patient records and imaging documentation
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care
Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients throughout imaging procedures
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent X-Ray Technician experience
Active ARRT certification required
Active South Carolina radiologic technologist license (or eligibility)
BLS certification required
Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and radiation safety practices
Ability to work independently during night shifts in a fast-paced environment
