Working closely with House Supervisors, charge nurses, case management, and interdisciplinary teams, you'll help ensure patients receive timely, safe, and high-quality care throughout their hospitalization.This role requires exceptional critical thinking, strong communication skills, clinical versatility, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities. You'll support multiple units and patient populations while serving as a valuable resource for bedside caregivers and leadership teams.Whether assisting during a rapid response, facilitating patient throughput, mentoring staff, or supporting quality and safety initiatives, you'll play a vital role in maintaining operational excellence across the hospital.Key Responsibilities:Provide hospital-wide nursing support to promote patient safety, clinical excellence, and efficient patient flow.Respond to urgent clinical concerns, patient deterioration events, rapid responses, and resuscitations as appropriate.Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed placement coordination.Support clinical teams with patient assessments, procedures, medication administration, and other patient care needs within scope and competency.Collaborate with House Supervisors, charge nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to address operational and clinical priorities.Identify barriers to patient flow and contribute to real-time problem solving.Provide coaching, mentorship, and clinical support to nursing staff.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and patient safety activities.Maintain accurate and timely documentation while promoting adherence to organizational policies and standards.Serve as a trusted clinical resource and advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.Minimum Qualifications:Current RN license in the state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.Minimum one (1) year of acute care RN experience.Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution and will be verified.RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
