A well-known client in Gaffney, SC, is looking to add a Building Inspector to their team.
Responsibilities:
- Performs inspections of new construction and renovations to ensure code compliance.
- Enters daily inspection requests and results in computer; maintains files.
- Enforces International Building codes including Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire, Property Maintenance, and other state and local codes as adopted.
- Researches, interprets, and explains codes to architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and others as requested.
- Ability to communicate with the public in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in IBC related inspections, or closely related field; and at least four certifications (either in commercial or residential) in: Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing.
- Any equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
- Valid driver's license.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $60,000 - $80,000
