RN - Oncology Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active Nursing License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong understanding of sterile dressing changesInfection prevention knowledgeSolid understanding of blood and electrolyte replacement process protocols Description:This position is for an oncology unit.The unit has a total of 41 beds with dedicated staff.During the day shift, there is one charge nurse, up to five registered nurses, and two patient care technicians per floor.The night shift also has one charge nurse, up to five registered nurses, and one patient care technician per floor.The estimated patient ratios are 4:1 to a maximum of 5:1.Key equipment includes baxter pumps.The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.Candidates must possess a general understanding of medical oncology.Familiarity with ports and central lines is preferred.Daily procedures performed on the unit include blood and electrolyte replacement and sterile dressing changes.A team-centered approach is essential for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
