Certified Surgical Technologist - CVOR

Location: Lewisville, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Variable shifts with call requirements.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical procedures and be skilled in working as part of a medical team to ensure patient safety and efficiency in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members during operative procedures.
• Ensure that all necessary instruments and supplies are available and functioning.
• Monitor and maintain proper equipment and sterilization procedures.
• Participate in the turnover of the operating room between procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience in a surgical setting.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from NNSTSA or NCCT required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system is preferred.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Navy blue scrubs
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gel, or next gen.
• Hair: Neat and clean, no extreme styles or colors; long hair should be pulled back.
• Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible.
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
