Responsibilities Implement and maintain infection control policies and procedures to prevent and control the spread of infections among residents, staff, and visitors Conduct regular infection control surveillance to identify and investigate suspected outbreaks, and develop and implement strategies to prevent future outbreaks Develop and provide infection control education to staff, residents, and families to promote awareness and understanding of infection control measures Collaborate with other departments , including nursing, housekeeping, and dietary, to ensure a cohesive approach to infection control Maintain accurate and detailed records of infection control activities, including surveillance, education, and reporting Develop and implement infection control protocols and procedures in response to emerging infectious diseases and outbreaks Participate in infection control committee meetings to discuss and review infection control issues and develop strategies to improve infection control practices About the Role As a Registered Nurse Infection Control Specialist at Grandell Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents.
