Interim Controller

Interim Controller – Property Accounting (Part-Time, 30 hrs/week) Ascent CFO Solutions is looking for an Interim Controller to support a property management/real estate client on a part-time, interim basis (1099). This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable owning the accounting function day-to-day while the client is between permanent hires (or navigating a transition period). What you'll be doing: Managing month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting Overseeing property-level accounting: CAM reconciliations, tenant billing, lease accounting, and owner/investor reporting Reviewing and maintaining accurate books across multiple properties or entities Partnering with property management teams on budget vs. actual reporting Ensuring compliance with GAAP and any investor/lender reporting requirements Supervising and supporting the accounting team What we're looking for: 7+ years of accounting experience, with meaningful time in property/real estate accounting specifically (multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use experience all welcome) Experience with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, or similar) Strong understanding of CAM reconciliations, lease accounting, and owner reporting Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities across a part-time schedule Prior experience in an interim, fractional, or consulting capacity is a plus, but not required Details: 30 hours/week, with some flexibility on schedule Hybrid schedule -Cherry Creek office Immediate start, 4 week engagement with possibility to extend #J-18808-Ljbffr
