Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Position

A full time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position is now available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Poughkeepsie, NY.

We have a dynamic therapy team which includes a fantastic and very experienced Rehab Director! We also have a strong interdisciplinary team with all hands on deck approach. We have a good mix of experienced therapists and young/new therapists. We have diverse clinical programs running in the department. We have on site physiatrist that rehab rounds. We also have a rehab suite committed to functional activities that mimic a home setting utilized for our therapists and patients to simulate a home environment. Located in a quaint residential area in a historic district of the City of Poughkeepsie.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will:

Provide comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting

Work collaboratively with other rehab therapists and nursing staff in a supportive team-working environment

Possess a current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or be license eligible to practice in the state employed

Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and have experience with electronic documentation

Demonstrate good attention to detail and timeliness with documentation

Work well with others in a team setting

Be flexible with hours.
