Job Duties:
Agricultural Equipment operators work closely with the Treating, Packaging, and Warehousing Supervisor, as well as the Plant Operations Manager.
Essential job functions may include, but not limited to:
Transport workers to and from Company facility Location(s)
Seasonal Packaging Operations:
Work closely with the Treating and Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations. Manager to ensure that corn seed packages meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Performing work activities safely.
Lifting and stacking materials up to 68 lbs. for extended periods of time.
Standing to fill and close packaged product for extended periods of time.
Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operator’s certificate.
Operating bagging equipment according to instructions.
Ensuring that bag labels are accurate, neat, legible and professional in appearance.
Application of appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages.
Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity;
Ensuring that seed pallets are neatly stacked and securely wrapped from packaging line; deliver finished seed pallets or boxes to the warehouse.
Prepare and clean (if needed) packaging materials to be used according to customer specifications. This would include boxes and paper bags.
Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area.
All packaging is done at a farming location.
Agriculture Equipment Operator to operate equipment used to process corn.
Operate forklifts and equipment used to move supplies and harvesting equipment in the field.
Minimum Education Required
None. No High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience Required
Minimum of 2 months experience required.
Must be able to reach, bend and lift items weighing 68 pounds.
Job will require exposure to extreme temperatures.
Extensive pushing and pulling is required.
Extensive walking or sitting is required.
Frequent stooping or bending over is required.
Repetitive movements are required.
Workers should be able to work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time.
Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, etc. may affect workers’ ability to perform the job.
Workers should be physically able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations.
Workers are exposed to wet weather early in the morning and heat throughout the day while working in the fields. Temperatures may range from 30-100F.
Workers may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations.
Must be able to work outdoors in dusty/dirty conditions, at extreme heat and cold inclement weather.
Must be able to listen to, understand, and follow simple instructions of supervisors and dispatcher.
Must be able to work in fields where ants, snakes and poison ivy are encountered.
Drivers responsible for transporting workers will be required to have a valid and unexpired Federal Farm Labor Contractor or Federal Farm Labor Contractor Employee Registration with driving authorization.
Must be able to safely operate the vehicles that are used to transport workers to and from work sites.
Should be able to provide proof of accident-free driving record and background.
Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination.

Additional Compensation
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 04/07/2026). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
