Cloud Security Engineer

Salary: $70,000 - 98,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 7+ years of experience in cloud security or cyber operations.
• We require 7+ years of experience with operating systems, network infrastructure, security principles, or systems architecture.
• We require 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS.
• We require 3+ years of coding and scripting experience in Python.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• We prefer experience with automation and SOAR platforms.
• We prefer experience in incident response, threat hunting, or detection engineering.
• We prefer experience with Azure or OCI.
• We prefer relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CEH.
• We require an active/current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• We require the ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.

• We consult on the design, architecture, and deployment of enterprise-scale cloud security monitoring systems.
• We develop and maintain scripts and automation utilities using Python or similar languages.
• We design and implement automated incident response playbooks to improve CSOC efficiency.
• We collaborate closely with CSOC teammates to exchange insights and coordinate response activities.
• We provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• We plan and run cyber exercises and drills to strengthen team readiness.
• We create reference materials and training content for cloud security and incident response.
• We stay informed on cybersecurity trends, threats, and emerging technologies.
• We identify process improvement opportunities and apply best practices.
• We maintain current knowledge of AI concepts relevant to cloud and incident response security.
• We develop, tune, and optimize Splunk detection rules for AWS and other cloud platforms using Splunk Query Language.
