What You'll Do: Stay in compliance with all Plant policies and safety procedures Ensure products are properly palletized and stretch wrapped Ensure products are properly stacked in warehouse Maintain safe and clean work areas Ensure there are no unlabeled containers in work area Supply required packaging materials for assigned production line Prepare each morning production line – assure inventory needs for the production run Prepare end of run – manage unused materials by properly labeling and storing for future use Operate forklift in a safe and proper manner Comply with Safety Rules and Regulations Perform minimum maintenance daily on forklift and complete daily inspection log Load and unload freight trucks as needed Safely handle raw materials, packaging items, and finished product to and from warehouses and production facilities Monitor inventory quantities (e.g., ensure older materials are used before new materials) Maintain organized warehouse when delivering finished product in accordance with warehouse manager specifications Ensure all containers are labeled Be knowledgeable of the products handled Remain alert to unsafe work areas, conditions, or personnel Assist plant personnel in identifying ways to eliminate waste and inefficiency Perform other duties as assigned What You'll Bring: High school diploma, GED; experience may be considered in lieu of education Good work habits Mechanical aptitude Ability to read, write and understand the English language Ability to pass a written forklift operator examination and skill test Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. frequently during entire shift Ability to handle 500 lbs. drums occasionally during shift with use of lifting device Ability to work flexible hours to satisfy customer requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
