Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Equipment & Fleet MaintenanceLocation: Le Mars, Iowa Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: $25–$45 per hour, depending on experienceWe are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered trucks, fleet vehicles, and heavy equipment for a waste and recycling operation in Le Mars, Iowa.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair diesel engines, heavy-duty trucks, and fleet equipment.Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine servicing.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Repair brakes, suspension, engines, transmissions, and related components.Maintain equipment reliability and minimize operational downtime.Document repairs, maintenance activities, and parts usage.Follow established safety procedures and maintenance standards.QualificationsExperience as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy-Duty Truck Technician, Fleet Mechanic, or similar role.Knowledge of diesel engines, diagnostics, and mechanical systems.Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and shop tools.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Relevant certifications or a CDL are a plus but not required.What We OfferCompetitive pay of $25–$45 per hour, based on experience.Full-time employment.Hands-on work maintaining essential fleet and industrial equipment.An opportunity to contribute to a team supporting waste and recycling operations.Interested candidates with diesel mechanic or heavy-duty equipment repair experience are encouraged to apply.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
