Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. Acts as a key member of the cardiovascular team, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes during complex interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-procedure assessments and obtain patient histories related to cardiac procedures.
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations and electrophysiology studies, ensuring proper sterile techniques.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any adverse changes during procedures.
• Administer medications and sedation under physician supervision, maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Document procedure details, patient responses, and post-procedure care accurately.
• Educate patients on post-procedure care and recovery expectations.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Georgia or a Compact state; required at time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency with cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and electrophysiology procedures.
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
