Senior Data Product Manager

Job Title Senior Data Product Manager Location(s) New York, NY Profile Seeking an experienced Senior Data Product Manager to lead the product strategy and execution for a strategic enterprise data platform. This role will own the product lifecycle from vision through delivery, translating business and client requirements into a prioritized roadmap while partnering closely with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to deliver high-value data products. Required Skills Product strategy, product lifecycle management, and roadmap ownership. Backlog prioritization and release planning. Enterprise data platforms and data product management. Data quality, data governance, and data management best practices. Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Product Ownership. Requirements gathering, user story creation, and acceptance criteria. Jira, Confluence, and product roadmapping tools. Executive stakeholder management and client communication. Cross-functional collaboration with business, technology, and data teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Key Responsibilities Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the enterprise data platform. Gather, analyze, and translate business and client requirements into prioritized product features and user stories. Manage and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value. Lead release planning and ensure timely delivery of roadmap commitments. Collaborate with engineering, architecture, data, and business teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align product priorities and expectations. Ensure data quality, governance, compliance, and platform standards are maintained. Monitor product performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive continuous enhancements. Communicate product progress, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to executive leadership. Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Drive adoption of data products by aligning solutions with business objectives and client needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing enterprise data platforms or data-centric products. Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Proven ability to influence senior executives and lead cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
