SONOGRAPHER - CHS ULTRASOUND - FT DAYS

Job Summary: To apply prescribed ultrasonography for diagnosis in accordance with policy and procedure, while practicing independent good judgment and initiative in the utilization of the ultrasound equipment to apply patient care, communicating the procedure performed, lessening apprehension and in accordance with the hospital’s Patient Rights Policies. Has knowledge of the needs of patients according to their age group and the ability to modify care according to patient’s age.Job Responsibilities:1. Performs and documents patient and family education activities including assessing, performing and documenting2. Provides age specific care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population, supports patients rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural and religious diversity3. Ensure appropriate consent forms are signed by the patient or responsible party for invasive procedures4. Review the medical record for patient history acquiring pertinent clinical information5. Proficiently operate all functions of US equipment6. Select the proper transducer(s) for examination(s) being performed7.
