This role ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and fosters strong, goal-oriented relationships with families that support parent involvement and child outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OversightLead the development and execution of the Family Engagement component in alignment with the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS).Supervise and support Family Advocates, Parent Involvement Specialists, and other staff responsible for family services.Develop family engagement goals and policies in collaboration with the leadership team and Policy Council.Conduct ongoing training and professional development for family services staff.Program Planning & ComplianceOversee the implementation of the Family Partnership Agreement process, ensuring that individualized family goals are developed and monitored.Monitor and analyze data related to family needs, goals, and service delivery.Ensure compliance with the Head Start Act, HSPPS, and other applicable regulations related to family services.Participate in annual self-assessment, Community Assessment updates, and program improvement plans.Community PartnershipsBuild and maintain partnerships with community organizations to provide services and resources for enrolled families (e.g., housing, employment, health, adult education).Represent the program in interagency councils, task forces, and community engagement events.Serve as liaison between families and community services to support referrals and follow-up.Parent Engagement & LeadershipPromote and support meaningful parent involvement in all program areas, including parent leadership, volunteering, and advocacy.Facilitate parent training sessions on topics such as parenting, financial literacy, health, and employment.Ensure effective operation of Parent Committees and engagement with the Policy Council.Data Management & ReportingUse data systems (such as ChildPlus or equivalent) to track family goals, services, and referrals.Prepare and submit timely reports related to family outcomes, compliance, and service delivery.Analyze trends in family needs to inform program planning and decision-making.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Studies, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).Minimum of three (3) years of experience in family engagement, case management, or human services, preferably in a Head Start or early childhood setting.At least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.Skills & CompetenciesDeep knowledge of HSPPS, family partnership practices, and community resources.Strong leadership, coaching, and supervisory skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software (e.g., ChildPlus).Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) preferred.Work Environment & Physical DemandsAbility to travel to program sites and community meetings.Occasional evening or weekend work to support family events or trainings.Must pass background checks and meet Head Start health requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr Family Guidance Center
