Make an impact supporting middle school students as a Special Education professional with two dynamic opportunities in the Northglenn and Thornton communities. This contract role places you on-site, collaborating with dedicated school staff and helping students reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with Special Education Generalist (Ages 5-21) endorsement
• Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable
• Background in behavior assessments and strategies (such as FBAs or ABA) considered a strong asset
• Adaptability and eagerness to work with diverse learners, including those with affective, social/emotional, or behavioral needs
• Ability to complete required district credentialing and documentation promptly

Role Details:

• 37.5 hours per week, assigned to a single school site (either Northglenn or Thornton)
• Northglenn Middle School: Affective Needs educator, providing specialized support for students with significant behavioral or emotional challenges, immediate start through end of academic year
• Thornton Middle School: Learning Specialist, leading four supplemental support classes in math and literacy, with assignment beginning 10/19 through end of school year
• Serve as an advocate and resource for students and collaborate with general education, related services, and administrative staff
• Engage in IEP development, progress monitoring, and implementation of individualized interventions and accommodations
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment targeting measurable academic and behavioral growth for each student
