We're seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team in our New York office. Reporting to the Billing Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring seamless client billing operations and compliance with client-specific guidelines. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your analytical, organizational, and customer service skills in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

What You'll Do
As our Legal Billing Specialist, you'll take ownership of critical billing functions, including:

Client Billing & Compliance

Set up matters with proper coding, rates, and task codes to ensure alignment with client billing guidelines.
Collaborate with attorneys, assistants, and eBilling vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate billing records.
Invoicing & Reporting

Prepare and process client bills, including generating proformas, editing narratives, and creating LEDES files.
Develop budgets, billing forecasts, and custom reports for clients and internal management.
Collections & Follow-Up

Proactively manage past-due invoices, coordinating with attorneys and clients to resolve payment issues.
Submit eBills, address rejections, and ensure invoices are approved and paid through various eBilling platforms.
Be the Go-To Expert

Serve as the main point of contact for billing-related inquiries from attorneys, clients, and firm leadership.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in legal billing or a similar role is a strong plus.
