Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery Post Partum (L&D PP) for a full-time position located in Anaheim, California. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care on the postpartum floor, supporting maternal and newborn health, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing the needs of postpartum and postpartum patients within a busy healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • License, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided), Basic Life Support, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring
  • Demonstrated IV skills and ability to perform lab draws
  • Demonstrated knowledge of high risk medication administration (Magnesium/Oxytocin/Insulin)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Urine Point of Care testing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IStat
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Adult Cardiac monitoring
  • Demonstrated knowledge of newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborns
  • Demonstrated knowledge of newborn medication including ability to perform IV administration and maintenance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Bili-blankets/lights
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiant warmers
  • Demonstrated knowledge to support gynecological teaching & post-operative bladder training
  • Demonstrated knowledge to support maternal-newborn teaching
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of postpartum experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience
• Additional Information:
  • Must have license & certifications: ACLS
