Clinical Role

Join a busy Emergency Department in Seattle, Washington, providing high-quality emergency medical care in a collaborative hospital environment. This ongoing locums opportunity offers flexible shift options, a broad spectrum of emergency cases, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians, nurses, and care teams. The facility is seeking one Emergency Medicine physician and one Advanced Practice Provider.

Assignment Details

Coverage Dates:

• October 23-31, 2026
• November 21-29, 2026 (Priority coverage: November 26-29)
• December 23, 2026 - January 1, 2027

Coverage Needed:

• One Emergency Medicine Physician
• One Advanced Practice Provider
• Approximately 16 shifts per month
• Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays

Current Openings:

• 7 shifts available through August
• 10 shifts available in September
• Approximately 70 shifts available October through February

Schedule:

Available shift options include:

• 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting:

• Hospital Emergency Department

Patient Volume:

• Approximately 8-14 patients per shift
• Approximately 8-14 admissions per day

Case Mix:

• Primarily medical emergencies
• Low trauma volume
• Medium to high acuity patients

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and disposition emergency department patients
• Manage a broad range of emergency medical conditions
• Collaborate with attending physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Communicate effectively with consultants and hospitalists
• Ensure safe patient handoffs
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Document patient care using EPIC

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine required
• Completion of an accredited residency program required
• Active Washington Medical License required
• ACLS required
• BLS required
• PALS required
• NRP required
• DEA required
• Clean background and malpractice history required
