Burnet County is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Jail Facility Officer. This position is responsible for the supervision, safety, and security of inmates housed at the Burnet County Jail facility. Primary Responsibilities: Supervise and monitor inmates to maintain safety and security within the facility Enforce facility rules and regulations Conduct regular inspections of the facility Respond to emergencies and incidents within the facility Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required Transport inmates as needed Communicate effectively with inmates, staff, and the public Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Valid Texas Driver's License required Must be able to pass a thorough background check Must be able to pass a psychological evaluation Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays Must be at least 18 years of age No felony convictions Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a correctional facility Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certification First Aid/CPR certification Burnet County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
