Surgical Technician

This position involves working in the operating room with a focus on sports medicine cases and orthopedic injuries. Shifts are scheduled from 06:45 to 17:15 over various days of the week. The surgical department has 3 operating rooms. Key responsibilities include scrubbing in for a variety of surgical procedures. Experience with specified procedures is essential, including but not limited to ankle fusion, arthroscopy, and total joint replacements. Candidates must have the ability to follow Universal Protocol and ensure proper specimen handling and labeling. The expected patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams and physical therapy, will be part of the role. Applicants should be aware of the floating requirement between service lines as needed. Completion of all facility-specific training modules is mandatory within the first week of the assignment. Flexibility in scheduling and ability to stay late to finish cases may be necessary. This role may require additional on-call duties to support patient care.
