BuildRight Construction Co. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to deliver safe, high-quality electrical installations and service on onsite projects.
Position SummaryThe Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical work to support construction and service needs, ensuring installations comply with applicable electrical codes and project specifications. This role combines hands-on trade work with strong attention to safety, workmanship, and jobsite readiness.
In addition to completing electrical tasks independently, the Journeyman Electrician will collaborate with project teams to troubleshoot issues, install components efficiently, and maintain high standards throughout each phase of the work.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, modify, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, panels, and related components.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and specifications to complete work accurately.
Ensure all work meets relevant safety standards and electrical code requirements.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to restore proper function.
Coordinate with other trades and onsite teams to support smooth project execution and efficient work sequencing.
Journeyman-level proficiency with electrical installation and troubleshooting practices.
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical codes, safety procedures, and jobsite best practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, schematics, and technical documentation.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to electrical systems.
Commitment to working safely and following procedures to protect team members and jobsite integrity.
Experience working on construction or commercial/industrial electrical projects.
Familiarity with standard jobsite practices for quality control and documentation.
Track record of mentoring or supporting less experienced electricians when needed.
Experience working with commissioning, testing, or system verification processes.
Hourly rate: $32 - $42
