Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Client Service Representative to our team. The schedule for this role is still being finalized, but availability for Saturday and Sundays are required.

Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic is an emergency clinic originally formed by local veterinarians in hopes of delivering prompt and conscientious emergency care for patients after hours, on weekends, and during holidays. We are fully equipped and provide state-of-the-art care. All of our doctors and technicians have training and experience in emergency care. Our hours of operation are Tuesday-Thursday 5:30pm-8:00am, Friday 5:30pm-Tuesday 8:00am (Open 24 hours on Saturday, Sunday and Monday).

Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic is in Holden, Maine, a city of approximately 10,000 people, which sits just outside of the larger city of Bangor: population 150,000. The city of Bangor and the International Airport are just minutes away. Bangor's historic downtown is full of new shops, boutiques, and award-winning restaurants. The Bangor Waterfront is now a major regional event center with premier concerts and events. And, Bar Harbor, Maine, home of the world-renowned Acadia National Park, is about an hour's drive away!

Hourly pay rate ranges from $20.00 per hour depending on experience and availability.

What You'll Do

• Answers telephone calls quickly, efficiently and in a professional and friendly manner using a multi-line system
• Warmly greets clients
• Prepares patient files
• Receives and relays client correspondence and updates client financial records
• Answers client's inquiries about basic animal care questions and routine procedures
• Admits patients and handles medical records entries accurately
• Prepares client invoices for services performed
• Handles payment transactions.
• Receives and relays telephone and email messages accurately and promptly

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist / CSR is preferred but not required
• Significant experience with basic office functions in a busy office environment
• Must be a team player and have compassion for pets and their people
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to step into shifts on evenings, weekends and holidays
