Boiler Supervisor

Boiler Supervisor Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Boiler Supervisor at our plywood facility in Camden, TX. Our Team The Boiler Supervisor will provide leadership for the Boiler/Utility department, support capital investments up to $1MM, and manage multiple employees in operations and maintenance while maintaining environmental compliance. What You Will Do Assist in creation of capital plans, identify investment costs, and develop tools to measure success and checkpoints; provide input on prioritization, ROI, savings, quality improvement, production output, resource allocation, execution timing, risk, and other value creation aspects. Lead environmental compliance projects and ongoing boiler operation improvement projects related to the boilers and auxiliary systems; ensure company standards and expectations are met through project completion. Serve as a subject‑matter expert, providing guidance to plant teams, discussing progress with senior leadership, presenting analytical data to validate project priority/status, implementing existing or new technology to enhance processes, quality, or product yield, and securing endorsement for scope and deliverable changes. Provide direct support to field teams, manage escalations to resolution, report on safety successes/failures, track metrics, reprioritize resources as needed, and assist in plan adjustments to maintain plant performance. Identify and assess vendor services for alignment with GP’s Principle Based Management® approach and manage escalations. Act as a technical coach to plant teams, influence senior leadership for business outcomes, increase understanding of Principle Based Management®, and leverage the Risk Management System to emphasize safety commitment. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Two or more years of leadership experience in an industrial or military environment. Knowledge of fire systems and experience working with XL Gaps (or similar risk management company) on compliance and reporting. Thorough understanding of thermodynamics and combustion principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Flexibility to work any assigned shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Willingness to work and adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). What Will Put You Ahead Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical.
