BONFE - EXCAVATION TECHNICIAN

$32-40/HR STARTING WAGE | Full-Time | St. Paul, MN

Ready to lead in the field and get your hands dirty doing meaningful work? Bonfe is hiring an experienced and motivated Excavation Technician to serve as a  Working Lead on sewer and utility construction projects.

• $32-40/hr. STARTING WAGE+ monthly bonus incentive pay -Our top performers are among the highest paid in the Twin Cities. You’ll have unlimited earning potential.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead a crew on residential sewer and utility installation jobs.
• Operate excavation equipment and tools, including jetters and camera inspection systems.
• Read and follow construction plans, blueprints, and job specs.
• Locate underground utilities using industry-standard tools.
• Keep accurate job documentation and enforce safety protocols.
• Ensure light mechanical maintenance is completed and tools are job-ready.
• Work in the field , not behind a desk – every day is hands-on.

What You'll Bring:

• 5–10 years of experience in underground utility and sewer construction.
• Valid CDL – no exceptions.
• Valid drivers license & clean driving record.
  
• Proficiency with jetters, sewer inspection cameras, and locating equipment.
• Confidence in leading a crew while staying involved in the physical work.
• Strong trenching and excavation knowledge.
• Dependable, safety-first mindset and problem-solving ability.
• Clear communicator who can adapt to changing field conditions.
