ND Defense is looking for Maintenance Techs to work on temporary assignment from Sept 1, 2026 - Dec 31, 2026 on second shift from 630 pm - 5 am.
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing the mechanical systems on industrial machinery and equipment (conveyors, presses, robotics, etc). Also maintains the general systems of the physical plant (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, limited electrical, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
- Follows standard procedures tomonitorequipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
- Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
- Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system. Installing, repairing, andmaintainingelectrical components or mechanical systems of industrial.
- Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
- Assistswith miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
- Utilizes a work order system to log activities asrequired. Works with orassiststrades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
- Follows all safety regulations and protocol.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with industrial automation equipment (presses, conveyors, robotics, etc.)
- Familiarity with general trades (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, limited electrical, etc.)
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, andmaintainmechanical and facilitysystems.
- Must be able to read and understand schematics.
- Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
- Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Ability tolift upto 50 lbs. on a regular basis, work in extreme cold and hot temperatures, squat, kneel, push, pull, and stand forlong periodsof time.
