Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Maryville, TN

Job Type: Contract

Shift: 3x12 Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients requiring telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical interventions. This unit specializes in stroke and TIA patients while also caring for higher-acuity medical-surgical populations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry skills, stroke care experience, and the ability to manage complex medical conditions in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Required Qualifications

• Active Tennessee RN License Required

• Current BLS Certification

• Current ACLS Certification

• Current NIHSS Certification

• Minimum 1 Year of Recent MS/Tele Experience

• Minimum 1 Year of Epic EMR Experience Required

• No First-Time Travelers

• Experience with Adult and Geriatric Patient Populations

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

• Monitor patients requiring telemetry and cardiac monitoring.

• Care for stroke, TIA, seizure, syncope, CHF, sepsis, and respiratory patients.

• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments.

• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.

• Provide patient and family education.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Float to other units based on staffing needs and skill set.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR.

• Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
