A rapidly growing, industry-leading manufacturer serving the oil & gas sector is seeking a Director of Quality to build, lead, and scale a best-in-class quality organization. This is a high-impact, executive-level role responsible for driving enterprise-wide quality strategy, ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards, and embedding a culture of excellence across operations. The Director of Quality will partner closely with executive leadership to support aggressive growth objectives while maintaining the highest levels of product integrity, safety, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader and hands-on operator with deep experience in heavy manufacturing, oil & gas standards, and quality transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Quality Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with business growth goals and operational priorities Serve as the senior authority on all matters related to quality assurance, quality control, and compliance Build and lead a high-performing, scalable quality organization across multiple functions and locations A proven people leader and culture builder who earns trust, drives accountability, and develops the next generation of quality talent across cross-functional teams at every level of the organization Performance Improvement & Strategic Initiatives Develop and execute a long-term quality strategy aligned with overall business objectives and growth plans Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, and CAPA methodologies Monitor, and report on key quality KPIs, presenting actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership Lead root cause analysis and failure investigations, ensuring timely resolution and sustainable corrective actions Quality Management System Governance & Compliance Develop, implement, and continuously improve a robust Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, API Q1, and other applicable industry standards Own and maintain all quality policies, procedures, and work instructions, ensuring they remain current and effective Lead and manage internal and external audit programs, including third-party audits Serve as the primary point of contact for accreditation bodies and regulatory agencies Stay current with evolving industry codes and standards including ASME, API, AWS, and NACE, proactively updating internal processes to maintain full compliance Quality Risk & Business Continuity Drive a proactive, enterprise-wide risk management approach, conducting rigorous quality risk assessments across the full product and service lifecycle — identifying vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation strategies before they reach the customer or impact the business Establish a culture of anticipation over reaction, ensuring quality risks are surfaced, prioritized, and resolved at the root level with speed, precision, and lasting effectiveness Production Quality & Process Control Oversee all quality assurance and quality control processes across manufacturing operations Integrate quality requirements into every stage of production — from raw material procurement and incoming inspection through in-process controls and final product acceptance Review and approve testing protocols, inspection criteria, and quality documentation and results Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to identify and resolve quality issues proactively Supplier Quality & Vendor Performance Own the full lifecycle of supplier quality issues, driving swift and decisive resolution through structured non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes that deliver lasting results Cultivate and maintain strong supplier partnerships built on a foundation of quality, reliability, and shared commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring the supply chain never becomes a weak link in product delivery Own and drive a supplier quality program that ensures full supply chain accountability, from vendor qualification to ongoing performance management Customer Commitment & Quality Assurance Transform customer feedback and complaints into strategic intelligence, leading thorough investigations and implementing solutions that drive long-term satisfaction and loyalty Bridge the gap between customer expectations and operational execution, partnering with commercial and customer-facing teams to ensure specifications are fully understood, consistently delivered, and never compromised Serve as the executive quality partner to customers, owning all quality-related engagements — from inquiries and non-conformances to corrective action requests — ensuring every interaction reflects the organization's commitment to excellence Qualifications A seasoned quality executive with 12 to 15 years of progressive experience in quality management, with a proven track record of leading and driving quality excellence across complex, fast paced, and highly regulated environments within manufacturing Proven track record of driving quality excellence in manufacturing and/or oil & gas industries, with a deep understanding of the operational, regulatory, and safety demands unique to these sectors Recognized expert in industry-leading Quality Management Systems and internationally recognized compliance frameworks, with a proven ability to build and sustain certification programs that meet the most rigorous industry demands Demonstrated mastery of continuous improvement methodologies with a consistent ability to translate these frameworks into measurable, bottom-line business results Deep technical foundation in specialized manufacturing processes and inspection methods — bringing equal credibility and confidence to the shop floor and the executive table Comprehensive knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring full compliance alignment and zero tolerance for gaps across all operations Executive presence and communication skills that command the room — equally compelling when presenting quality strategy to senior leadership as when working alongside frontline teams to solve the toughest operational challenges Analytically sharp and data-driven, with the ability to transform quality metrics into strategic intelligence that shapes business decisions, mitigates risk, and accelerates continuous improvement Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a
