The Role The firm is seeking a driven General Liability Defense Attorney to manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution. This individual will provide aggressive advocacy and tailored solutions for corporations, insurers, and local businesses. Key Responsibilities Manage litigation for general liability, automobile, and premises liability matters. Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and appellate briefs. Conduct extensive discovery, including taking and defending expert and 30(b)(6) depositions. Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations throughout South Carolina. Prepare for and lead trials, maintaining the firm's standard of courtroom excellence. Provide strategic legal analysis and timely reporting to insurance claims representatives. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school. Active License to practice law in South Carolina (North Carolina licensure is a plus). Proven Experience in civil litigation with a focus on insurance defense or general liability. Exceptional writing and analytical skills with a "trial-ready" mindset.
