Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health

The role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Behavioral Health. The position involves working with an adult patient population in a psychiatric health care facility. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations. Experience with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients is preferred. The nurse will be part of a team and may be required to work on multiple units as needed. This position offers weekly guaranteed hours with a requirement for weekend hours every other week or as needed. The facility has a total of 77 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:11.

Must-Have Skills/Experience: Must have a current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Must have CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be willing to work flexible hours. Must be willing to float to different units as needed.
