Operating Room RN Opportunity

Bring your operating room expertise to this OR RN opportunity for a 13-week assignment working 8-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM with 40 guaranteed hours per week. The Operating Room RN will provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care. Candidates must be flexible, team-oriented, and willing to assist in both circulating and scrub roles when needed.

Responsibilities include circulating and assisting during surgical procedures, maintaining sterile technique, performing preoperative and postoperative patient assessments, monitoring patients throughout the perioperative process, assisting with orthopedic, spine, ENT, OB/GYN, podiatry, pain management, and general surgery cases, documenting patient care in Epic, preparing surgical equipment and supplies, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia teams, supporting PACU operations when needed, participating in on-call coverage, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.

Requirements: Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience required Active Wisconsin RN License or Compact RN License required BLS Certification (AHA or ARC) required ACLS Certification (AHA or ARC) preferred Epic charting experience preferred Willingness to scrub and assist during procedures if needed Experience in OB/GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, ENT, Podiatry, and Pain Management preferred Must reside 50+ miles from facility Must be willing to float to nearby facilities and assist in PACU or sitter assignments during low census periods Ability to participate in weekday and weekend call rotations required
