Patient Assistance Program Coordinator

Job Description Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support company operations, including but not limited to: Coordinate enrollment process for pharmaceutical patient assistance programs Maintain all patient enrollment requirements Manage consistent communication with patients, provider offices, drug manufacturers regarding enrollment and treatment status Communicate with insurance and drug companies regarding prior authorizations and benefit information Organize and maintain all incoming data pertaining to patient assistance, including but not limited to incoming and outgoing faxes and emails Communicate with oncology provider offices to maintain treatment schedules Prioritize time sensitive information and ensure it is forwarded to appropriate department within and outside of the company Engages in research for eligible drug assistance programs Provides a supportive financial advocate role for referred patients Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Over one (1) year of healthcare related coordination experience – experience with administrative and clinical aspects of healthcare preferred Work-related experience in an insurance or payor setting is a plus Work-related experience in a pharmaceutical setting is a plus High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Skills & Requirements: Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Must be well organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Must have exceptional customer service skills – this is an external facing position that interfaces with patients, providers, and personnel of pharmaceutical and insurance companies. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone Ability to manage priorities of a daily fluctuating workflow.
