Staff are cross-trained to care for both mothers and babies in labor and delivery, and all RNs scrub and circulate in L&D LDRP. The unit handles its own C-sections with the operating room located in the unit, and OBHG physicians are on site 24/7. The facility also features a midwifery program in LDR. You must have a minimum of 18 months of NICU Level 3 RN experience within the last 3 years. Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. The Family Birthplace features spacious, private rooms and low-intervention birthing suites, supporting labor, delivery, and postpartum care for new families. The unit offers a level 2 intermediate care nursery, dedicated OB hospitalists, board-certified OB-GYNs, certified nurse midwives, and lactation consultants for comprehensive maternity care.
