Journeyman Electrician – Commercial DivisionThrower Electric is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our Commercial Division. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, values safety, and enjoys working on a variety of commercial projects alongside a tight-knit team.Thrower Electric is a locally owned electrical contracting company based in Madison, Georgia. We specialize in quality commercial electrical work and pride ourselves on professionalism, efficiency, and doing the job right the first time.The Journeyman Electrician will perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on commercial job sites. This role requires the ability to work independently, read and interpret drawings, and lead portions of projects while coordinating with foremen and project managers.Responsibilities:Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems and componentsRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawingsBend and install conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC, etc.)Pull wire and terminate devices, panels, and equipmentTroubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs efficientlyEnsure all work meets NEC, local codes, and company standardsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized job siteCommunicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other tradesFollow all safety procedures and company policiesQualifications:Journeyman Electrician license (Georgia or ability to obtain reciprocity)Minimum 2-3 years of commercial electrical experienceStrong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to pass a background checkStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detailPreferred (Not Required):Experience leading small crews or mentoring apprenticesExperience with service work and troubleshootingOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationCompensation & Benefits:Competitive pay based on experience and qualificationsSteady, year-round commercial workOpportunities for advancement and long-term employmentSupportive, professional work environment
