Infusion Nurse
We are seeking a dedicated Infusion Nurse with a strong background in oncology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in administering infusions and demonstrate competency in chemotherapy administration through testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care during chemotherapy and infusion therapy sessions
- Monitor patients closely for adverse reactions and manage any complications that arise
- Document patient assessments and responses to treatment in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for oncology patients
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of infusion experience required
- Experience in ambulatory oncology settings preferred
- BLS certification required; chemotherapy certification is not mandatory but must pass a chemotherapy competency test
Shift Information
This position typically operates from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Additional Information
The nurse will be required to wear blue scrubs while on duty and work in a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:8.
