ENTRY Phlebotomist I

Job Title

Pay Range: $12.75hr - $17.75hr

Requirement/Must Have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy experience is required, including internship or externship experience.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience (e.g., Retail, Home Health Aide).
• Keyboard and data entry experience.
• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins via self-service kiosks or handheld tablets.
• Willingness to work in both the lobby and draw rooms to cover staff breaks.
• Ability to perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices.
• High level of customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and address questions or concerns with care and compassion.
• Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the waiting area.
• Assist with phlebotomy duties and provide coverage for breaks when other staff are unavailable.
• Explain procedures to patients in a safe and accurate manner to create an atmosphere of trust.
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.
• Assist patients with the check-in process using technology in the lobby.
