Admissions Recruiter

Performs a variety of tasks related to student recruitment including responding to emails, answering phone calls, attending recruitment-related events as a representative of the university, and initiating inquiries with potential students. Monitors admissions emails, conveys information to applicants and prospects, and completes and maintains recruiting and admissions-related documentation and records.

Promotes the university through outreach programs, including college fairs and high school visits.

Schedules, confirms, and attends events within a given territory.

Responds to phone calls and emails from candidates and internal and external stakeholders; provides information and answers questions regarding requirements and processes.

Represents the admissions department at admissions events on campus.

Evaluates prospective student applications and determines eligibility for admissions.

Schedules and attends meetings; delivers admissions presentations.

Bachelor's Degree; 2-4 years experience.

Please note, this is a temporary role with an anticipated end date of December 11, 2026. At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Professional Staff Association (PSA) Professional Staff -20 $64,000.00 - $103,804.00 NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, or other items.
